About this position

ABOUT FOX & RAVEN

Fox & Raven is Corvus Coffee's newest concept: a from-scratch restaurant built around a Corvus specialty  coffee bar, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside a full beer, wine, and spirits program. Our kitchen  is known for sourdough-based breakfast items and brick oven pizza, and we're looking for a hands-on  leader to open and run the entire operation.

POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager owns the full day-to-day operation and financial performance of Fox & Raven. This is  a true “GM of the building” role: every team member — front of house, back of house, bar, and coffee bar  — reports up through the GM. The GM carries full P&L accountability, partners closely with the Director of  Food and Bakery on menu execution and food/bakery quality, and reports to the Director of Retail on  overall business performance and strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial & Business Performance

  • Own the full P&L for Fox & Raven, including revenue, cost of goods, labor, and controllable expenses.
  • Build and manage budgets and sales forecasts; deliver against margin and profitability targets.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and period-end financial and operational reports, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships across the coffee, kitchen, and bar programs.

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Serve as the single point of leadership for all Fox & Raven staff, including back-of-house, front-of-house, bar, and  coffee bar teams.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop managers and hourly staff across all dayparts.
  • Set clear performance expectations, coach and evaluate staff, and manage disciplinary and HR matters in  partnership with company HR resources.
  • Build a strong, low-turnover culture that reflects Corvus Coffee's standards and values.

Operations Across Dayparts

  • Oversee daily operations across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, plus the Corvus coffee bar.
  • Maintain consistent execution and quality of our signature sourdough breakfast items and brick oven pizza  program.
  • Run a full beer, wine, and spirits program, including responsible alcohol service, liquor licensing compliance, and  bar cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with all health department, food safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Uphold guest experience and service standards across the full restaurant, bar, and coffee bar. Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with the Director of Culinary on menu development, recipe standards, food cost, and bakery/ sourdough program consistency.
  • Report regularly to the Director of Retail on financial performance, operational health, and strategic priorities. • Lead pre-opening setup, staffing, and training, and drive a successful grand opening.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager of a full-service restaurant with an active bar program.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a restaurant P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Experience managing multi-daypart operations; breakfast/brunch experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits programs, including compliance and responsible service practices. • Passion for or experience with specialty coffee, scratch baking, or pizza programs is a strong plus.
  • Current food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) and state-required alcohol service certification (e.g.,  TIPS), or ability to obtain promptly upon hire.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a track record of building and retaining high performing teams.
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business requires. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Dining and coffee discounts at Fox & Raven and Corvus Coffee locations.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
