Job Description
Director of Development
Bingham Family Clinic | Utah Valley | Hybrid Possible
Salary: DOE + competitive benefits
Build the program. Shape the future.
Bingham Family Clinic is a growing nonprofit healthcare organization providing quality, compassionate medical care to families in Utah County who may otherwise have limited access to care. We are seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Development to build our philanthropic program from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced development professional who wants to create rather than inherit. There is currently no development department, CRM, annual fund, major gifts program, or established fundraising infrastructure. Working directly with the CEO and clinic leadership, you will have the autonomy to build the program and establish the systems, relationships, and culture that will support the clinic’s future.
Why Bingham Family Clinic?
Mission: Your work directly supports access to healthcare for families in our community.
Ownership: You will not inherit someone else’s program. You will build it.
Opportunity: Join an organization in its first year and help create the philanthropic foundation that can support its growth into additional locations and a larger team.
What You Will Build
You will develop and lead a comprehensive fundraising program, including:
- Annual giving and major gifts
- Family philanthropy
- Donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- CRM and donor management systems
- Development policies, procedures, and operating processes
- Donor communications and engagement
- Physician and community partnerships
- Quarterly donor events featuring physicians and clinic leadership
- Fundraising metrics, reporting, and accountability
- As the clinic grows, you will also help determine the team, infrastructure, and fundraising strategy needed to support future expansion.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced development leader with at least five years of leadership experience who is:
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable building from scratch
- An exceptional relationship builder
- Experienced with major gifts and individual philanthropy
- Comfortable working directly with CEOs, physicians, donors, and community leaders
- Strategic enough to create the plan and hands on enough to execute it
- Motivated by meaningful community impact
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy
- Healthcare fundraising experience is valuable, but the ability to build relationships, create a program, and execute independently is what matters most.
If you are looking for an opportunity to build something meaningful rather than simply manage what already exists, we would like to hear from you.
