Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to join the health center of one of America's most iconic, well-known brands, a household name most people grew up with. This role is currently posted as a permanent replacement for a retiring APP, with the flexibility to start on a contract or contract-to-perm basis.
You'll provide primary care to employees and their dependents (ages 2 and up) at a well-established onsite health center offering a full scope of services, backed by a genuinely collaborative care team.
Position Details
- Schedule: 36 hours/week, rotating 12-hour shifts on a biweekly cycle (Week 1: Mon/Tue/Wed; Week 2: Wed/Thu/Fri), 6:45 AM–7:15 PM with a 30-minute meal break
- Typical Pace: Averages around 14 patient visits per 12-hour shift; physical exams scheduled at 45 minutes, other visit types at 30 minutes (volume varies based on acute vs. chronic/follow-up mix)
- Location: Austin, Minnesota (onsite)
- Position Type: Contract or contract-to-perm; ideal start before October 22 to allow training time alongside the current provider ahead of their retirement, though some flexibility on exact start date. This is being actively pursued as a permanent placement, so the contract end date may shift once a permanent hire is in place
What You'll Do
- Provide primary care across the lifespan, including annual physicals and preventive care
- Perform well-woman exams, well-child visits, sports physicals, and immunizations
- Manage acute and same-day visits, plus minor procedures
- Order and interpret laboratory services and point-of-care testing (POCT)
- Dispense medications as part of provider dispensing services
- Coordinate with physical therapy and care management for whole-person care
- Partner with an RN who supports health and wellness education alongside you
- Work alongside a full clinical team, reception, LPN/MA support staff, and an RN Health Center Manager
What You'll Bring
- Current PA or NP licensure
- Primary care experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Comfort working with a diverse patient population, including patients who may need language interpretation support
- Interest in a long-term/permanent placement is a strong plus
- Comfort working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team
