About the Role We're seeking a caring, collaborative Montessori Lower Elementary Teacher to guide a mixed-age classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about Montessori philosophy, committed to nurturing independence, and excited to support each child's academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
Lead the Montessori Lower Elementary curriculum (Math, Language, Geometry, Biology, Geography, History, Practical Life)
Present lessons with clarity and respect for each child's readiness
Foster independence, curiosity, and positive community habits
Maintain an organized, inviting prepared environment
Observe students to plan lessons and support development
Communicate thoughtfully with families
Collaborating with teaching partner and participate in school events
Qualifications
Montessori Lower Elementary certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE) required or in progress
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
Montessori classroom experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a growth mindset
Ability to create a calm, joyful, structured learning environment
