Welder, 2nd Shift

Position Summary: As a Welder at New Flyer in Shepherdsville, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to assemble and fabricate components according to specifications. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders.
- Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques to fabricate and assembler components.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Make necessary adjustments as required.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas. Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and ensure smooth workflow.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of TIG welding.
- Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Hourly Wage Rate: $30.32/hr plus $1.50.hr Shift Differential
Standard Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
