About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Psychiatry, a pivotal role in leading the academic and clinical missions of the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership in clinical care, education, research, and community engagement. This includes overseeing faculty recruitment and development, program expansion, and the integration of psychiatric services across the health system. The Chair will also play a key role in shaping the clinical and academic identity of a new state-of-the-art psychiatry hospital, with a focus on excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will be a nationally prominent psychiatrist with a strong background in administrative leadership, faculty management, and a commitment to the education of the next generation of psychiatrists. Applicants for the Chair position must have an M.D., D.O., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree, be board certified in psychiatry, and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Missouri. The role requires outstanding leadership skills, administrative experience in a medical school, academic medical center, or behavioral health service line, and a proven track record of achievement in the field. The Chair will be expected to have a spirit of innovation, particularly in leading research and scholarly work, and a passion for supporting the community and diverse patient populations.
