A growing Southwest Florida civil engineering firm is looking for a land development engineer who is ready to step beyond design work and into project leadership. You'll manage projects from start to finish, lead a small team, and build your own client relationships. The path to Project Manager is clear and doesn't take years.

What You'll Do

  • Manage land development projects from planning through permitting and construction documents
  • Lead site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and roadway layout
  • Prepare and review plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform and review engineering calculations and technical designs
  • Work directly with clients, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare and coordinate permitting documentation
  • Keep projects on track by monitoring schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Mentor an entry-level engineer and CAD support staff
  • Contribute to proposals, client development, and company growth

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2–5 years of civil engineering experience, ideally in land development
  • EI/EIT certification
  • PE license, or eligibility to obtain it within about 6 months
  • Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills
  • Hands-on experience with grading, drainage/stormwater, utilities, and permitting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage projects and deadlines independently

Nice to have: Florida land development experience, an active PE license, familiarity with local jurisdictions, and prior project leadership or mentoring experience.
