About the Role

The Company is in need of an Executive Director for its hospice operation in the Akron area. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing comprehensive leadership across all aspects of the business, including operations, clinical services, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial performance, quality, culture, and market development. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality interdisciplinary hospice care while meeting the organization's operational, financial, compliance, and organizational objectives. The Executive Director will be accountable for the overall performance of the agency and must have a strong background in healthcare management, with a preference for those with hospice leadership experience. Applicants for the Executive Director position must hold an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license and have a background that includes approximately 2-5 years' in healthcare management or a comparable leadership role. A thorough understanding of Medicare hospice certification and regulatory requirements is essential, as is demonstrated experience in supervising clinical, professional, and administrative personnel. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of healthcare operations, financial management, staffing, quality, compliance, and interdisciplinary care, and must possess the ability to build relationships, represent the agency effectively in the community, and operate in an accountable, outcomes-driven environment. The role requires a leader with strong communication, leadership, judgment, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, who can create stability, establish expectations, and develop a management team centered on quality patient care.
