Big South Fork Medical Center, a critical access hospital, in Oneida, TN is recruiting for a full time Nurse Practitioner (Midlevel) to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.   • Provide direct inpatient medical care in coordination with physicians and hospital staff.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based treatment plans.
  • Counsel patients and families on treatment options, preventive care, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, rounding and other activity to support a positive patient experience.
  • Maintains cooperation and collaboration with hospital team, physicians, patients and families as needed to enhance continuity of care and a positive working environment.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Education

· Graduate from an accredited NP program

·Experience & Certification

  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience or 4 years of total nurse practitioner experience preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted APRN license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
  • Current DEA license and other certifications necessary to legally practice in Tennessee.
  • Must maintain required continuing education credits per state guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care measures.
  • Ability to interpret and act upon lab and diagnostic test results.
  • Skilled in counseling patients on medical and psychological conditions and treatment plans.
  • Proficient in developing and managing comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable with computer systems and electronic health records.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with patients, families, and team members.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.

Physical Demands

  • Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Occasional heavy lifting required when assisting or moving patients who may be weak or non-ambulatory.

Schedule

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Includes call coverage during scheduled work week
  • Work hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for inpatient care
