Overview

Qiao Lin Hotpot in Chicago Chinatown is looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm and positive attitude

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and minimal wait time

• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and inform them of daily specials or promotions

• Answer phone calls professionally and assist with reservations, inquiries, or takeout information

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entrance area

• Communicate and coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to support efficient service

• Handle guest concerns or requests politely and professionally

• Use POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred) for managing reservations and basic order assistance

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in the food service industry is preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Able to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with Aloha or Micros is highly valued

• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or guest services is a bonus

• Mandarin-speaking preferred to better assist Chinese-speaking guests

• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
