MaxCare Health & Residential Services is seeking a passionate Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekend Only or PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
MaxCare Health & Residential Services is a residential provider offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs.
Shifts available: (Full-Time, Part-Time, Every Other Weekend, PRN)
7:00 am - 3:30pm
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm*
11:00 pm - 7:30 am*
*INCLUDES SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
Basic Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional (CNA)
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments
- Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
- Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients, families, state officials, and peers
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
