Candidates should expect a minimum of 25% travel , with additional travel as business needs require.<< The Electrical Power Generation Engineer provides technical leadership for the design, delivery, commissioning, and operational readiness of mission-critical data center power infrastructure. The role requires extensive knowledge of grid substations, medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) distribution equipment, power quality monitoring, power-generation systems, protective relaying, switchgear, transformers, and related electrical infrastructure. This engineer works cross-functionally with design, engineering, construction, delivery, commissioning, and operations teams from project inception through final handover to ensure the power-generation infrastructure is safe, resilient, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with data center availability objectives. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Serve as the electrical power-generation subject-matter expert across concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning, operational handover, and lifecycle support. * Define electrical design criteria, system architecture, capacity, redundancy, reliability, maintainability, grounding, protection, and operational-readiness requirements. * Lead design and technical reviews for grid substations, utility interconnections, high-voltage and medium-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection relays, cables, grounding, metering, and communications interfaces. * Design and review MV and LV electrical distribution systems, including MV switchgear, transformers, LV switchboards, motor-control centers, panelboards, distribution boards, UPS interfaces, automatic
