The Lead Electrician plays a critical role in managing and executing electrical work for new construction projects in commercial buildings. This position involves leading small teams, ensuring code compliance, and delivering high-quality wiring installations from rough-in to trim-out stages.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough-in wiring for new construction projects
- Execute trim-out wiring tasks to complete installations
- Ensure all work aligns with local electrical codes and standards
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Lead small teams of 1-3 electricians, providing guidance and oversight
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical work
- Valid Electrician License
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated team leadership capabilities
- Commitment to safety compliance and best practices
- Proficient with electrical tools and equipment
- Effective communication skills
