Position Overview
We are seeking hands-on Field Service Engineers to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of custom machinery, automation systems, and industrial equipment at customer facilities.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with advanced equipment, solving technical challenges, and traveling to different customer locations. Both experienced professionals and recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, an interest in industrial automation, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in a customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service automated machinery and industrial equipment at customer facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial control systems.
- Perform equipment startups, testing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve equipment performance issues.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Train customers on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Provide professional, customer-focused technical support.
- Travel up to 90% of the time, including overnight stays.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
- Familiarity with PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation.
- Understanding of electrical controls, motors, sensors, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally with customers.
- Willingness to travel up to 90%, including overnight travel.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial automation, machinery, or equipment troubleshooting.
- Equipment installation, commissioning, startups, and FAT/SAT testing.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming modifications.
- Robotics, motion control, servo systems, and industrial controls.
- Automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Previous field service, maintenance, or controls engineering experience.
