Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) — Grants Pass

Compensation: $28–$32 per hour, depending on experience and training

Employment Type: Full-time

Action Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation and sports medicine team in Grants Pass, Oregon.

We are a PRIVATELY OWNED PRACTICE FOCUSED ON PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL, INDIVIDUALIZED CARE. Our approach allows our clinicians to spend meaningful time with each patient rather than working in a high-volume, rushed environment. We believe quality care starts with having the time to listen to patients, understand their goals, and provide hands-on guidance throughout their recovery.

As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evidence-based treatment to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, post-operative procedures, and other musculoskeletal disorders. ONE-ON-ONE TREATMENT AND A MANAGEABLE PATIENT SCHEDULE allow you to build genuine relationships with your patients and take pride in the quality of care you provide. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love through exceptional, individualized care.

YOU WILL:

  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as outlined in the patient’s plan of care.
  • Work closely with patients through individualized, one-on-one treatment sessions, therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy techniques (as permitted by state law), balance and gait training, and therapeutic activities.
  • Guide patients through their rehabilitation while taking the time to answer questions, provide encouragement, and help them understand their progress.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, wellness strategies, and return-to-activity goals.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes using our electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and physicians to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Support a positive, team-oriented clinic culture while delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant license from the Oregon Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and connect with patients of all ages and activity levels.
  • A genuine interest in providing quality, patient-centered care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years' experience in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine- New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with post-operative rehabilitation protocols.
  • Experience treating athletes and active individuals.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • $28–$32 PER HOUR, depending on experience and training.
  • ONE-ON-ONE PATIENT CARE IN A LOWER-VOLUME, personalized clinical environment.
  • A manageable daily patient schedule that supports quality patient care and documentation, and a HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Continuing education reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
  • Retirement plan.
  • The opportunity to work in a privately owned practice where patient care—not patient volume—is the priority.
