Job Description
Power Labor is currently seeking 3 experienced Commercial Electricians for an upcoming three-story commercial office building project in Savannah, GA.
We are looking for skilled, dependable electricians with hands-on experience in commercial electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, be comfortable working from blueprints, and possess the ability to complete electrical installations safely and efficiently.
This position offers a consistent daytime schedule, opportunities for overtime, and the potential for an extended assignment based on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform electrical installations for a multi-story commercial office building.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, electrical panels, switches, outlets, and related equipment.
- Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring throughout commercial structures.
- Measure, cut, bend, and install EMT and other electrical conduit using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install and connect electrical panels, circuits, breakers, and distribution equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify appropriate repairs or solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Install and service electrical components associated with generators and other commercial equipment.
- Ensure installations meet applicable NEC requirements, local electrical codes, and project specifications.
- Work alongside other electricians and construction trades to complete project milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience as a Commercial Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Experience pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing electrical panels and lighting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical tools, testing equipment, and jobsite safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM shift.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working on active construction sites.
- Must have appropriate electrical hand tools and required personal protective equipment.
