Are you an experienced pipefitter who can read, interpret, and create piping isometric drawings? This is a permanent pipefitter job with overtime and benefits. Unite Contracting is seeking a skilled Pipefitter who can independently develop accurate isometric drawings and perform pipe installation, fabrication, and assembly.
The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of piping systems, can work from blueprints and field measurements, and has hands-on industrial pipefitting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate piping isometric drawings based on field measurements, project specifications, and piping layouts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Develop detailed isometric drawings that include pipe dimensions, fittings, offsets, elevations, and connection points.
- Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install piping systems according to project requirements.
- Perform pipe layout and fabrication using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Calculate pipe measurements, angles, offsets, and takeoffs to ensure accurate installation.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and other trades to ensure proper piping installation.
- Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial Pipefitter with isometric drawing capabilities.
- Required: Ability to independently create accurate piping isometric drawings from field measurements and project specifications.
- Strong ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- Proficiency in pipe layout, measurement, fabrication, and installation.
- Strong understanding of piping components, fittings, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to accurately calculate pipe offsets, angles, and dimensions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
