Job Description

About the Role

We are hiring CNC Machine Operators & Helpers across multiple specialized fabrication disciplines: Press Brake, Plate Roll, and CNC Plasma Burning. Whether you are an entry-level Helper with 6 months to 2 years of shop exposure looking to grow your craft, an experienced operator with 3 to 5 years, or a master fabricator with 15+ years of expertise, we have a place for your skills.

While we are hiring dedicated specialists for each machine type, candidates with multi-machine experience or a strong desire to cross-train are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialized Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate equipment within your primary discipline:

– Press Brake: Form precision components on CNC Press Brakes (AccurPress, Cincinnati).

– Plate Roll: Roll cylinders, cones, and weld pads on CNC Plate Rollers (Davi, Faccin), verifying radii with sweeps and OD straps.

– Plasma Burner: Set up, nest/program, and operate CNC Plasma Burning systems to cut carbon and stainless steel plate.

– Machine Helpers: Assist lead operators with material loading, machine setup, deburring, and shop floor preparation.

• Layout & Fit-Up: Perform layout work and tack-weld components using FCAW (Flux-Cored) and GMAW (MIG/Hardwire) to ensure precise fit-up.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts against engineering blueprints using calipers, protractors, sweeps, and OD straps; accurately record measurements for QC sign-off.

• Material Handling & Rigging: Safely maneuver heavy steel plate materials using overhead cranes and industrial forklifts.

• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain daily equipment upkeep and actively contribute to a safe, clean shop environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Machine Experience:

– Helpers: 6 months to 2 years of general shop floor exposure, machine assisting, or basic fabrication experience.

– Operators: 3 to 20+ years of dedicated CNC operation on Press Brakes, Plate Rolls, OR Plasma Burners. (Cross-machine experience is a major plus.)

• Print Reading & Measurement: Ability to read engineering drawings and use standard measuring tools (Helpers must show basic measurement skills and a desire to learn blueprints).

• Practical Shop Skills: Basic MIG/Flux-Cored tack welding capability and safe overhead crane/forklift operation.

• Detail & Safety Focus: High attention to quality control, exact measurements, and safe work practices.
