A thriving private optometry practice in Ohio is seeking a personable and skilled Optometrist to provide fill-in/per-diem coverage. What to Expect
- Flexible on days: Practice is open Monday through Friday, with a half day on Wednesday. They are open to any coverage days that can be provided.
- Immediate need for a motivated Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams
- See approximately 2 patients per hour; average 12-15 patients per day
- Enjoy a collaborative team with three licensed opticians and an insurance/front desk specialist
- State-of-the-art equipment, including Humphrey visual field, tono pen, and Kowa hand-held slit lamp (SL-14)
- Supportive environment with assistance available for credentialing, licensing, and insurance paperwork
- Lunch breaks of approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes each day
- Warm, friendly patient base appreciative of personal, attentive care
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough eye exams, including dilation as needed
- Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Conduct medical eye exams as required
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience with warmth and clear communication
- Complete exams efficiently (under 30 minutes per patient)
Requirements
- Licensed Optometrist in Ohio with NPI number and liability insurance (assistance available if needed)
- Preferably a few years of clinical experience
- Credentialed with major insurance providers (Medicare, Eyemed, Davis/Versant, UHC/Spectera, Aetna, etc.) or willing to obtain
- Outgoing, approachable, and able to make patients feel comfortable
- Eager to help people and committed to quality patient care
