CDR General Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Combo Welder/Fitter to join our team in Paducah, KY. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience performing both welding and fitting, with a background in barge repair or marine fabrication. Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and safely use welding, hand, power, and cutting equipment in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform both welding and fitting duties on marine and industrial structures.
- Perform fabrication and repair work related to barge repair and marine fabrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Measure, align, fit, tack, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Perform welding using appropriate welding processes and techniques.
- Use welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and proper fit.
- Make adjustments as needed to ensure proper alignment and weld quality.
- Follow all required safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform other related welding and fitting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Combo Welder/Fitter required.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in barge repair or marine fabrication required.
- Proven hands-on experience performing both welding and fitting work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and cutting equipment.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, fitting, alignment, and welding.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
