About the Role:
J G Boyd Law LLC is looking for a passionate and skilled Family Law Attorney to join our team in Decatur, GA. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, and alimony
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, agreements, and court orders
- Conduct client consultations and provide sound legal counsel on family law issues
- Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes between opposing parties
- Appear in court hearings, trials, and depositions on behalf of clients
- Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate and organized case files
- Stay current on Georgia family law statutes, case law, and court procedures
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
- Prior experience in family law, domestic relations, or litigation preferred
- Strong knowledge of Georgia family law statutes and DeKalb County court procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
