MIG / TIG Aluminum Welder
Location: Northeast Minneapolis, MN
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, DOE
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
About the Position
We are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our aluminum fabrication team in Northeast Minneapolis. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, can read and understand fabrication drawings, and has experience welding aluminum and other metals.
This is a hands-on position working in a fabrication environment where quality, consistency, safety, and attention to detail are important.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
- Set up and operate welding equipment according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications.
- Fit, tack, and weld fabricated components to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, appearance, and structural integrity.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and other layout tools.
- Perform basic grinding, finishing, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow company safety and quality procedures.
- Work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required.
- Aluminum welding experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.
- Ability to accurately measure and lay out parts.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work attitude.
- Welding certification is a plus but not required.
