Lucky Day is an upcoming neighborhood café and community space in Greenpoint, BK. In addition to breakfast, lunch, coffee, and matcha, the space will feature a carefully curated selection of retail pantry staples and everyday essentials. Additionally, Lucky Day will have plenty of kid- and adult-friendly events, gatherings, and programming!
We’re looking for an experienced Line Cook to join the opening kitchen team of a new independent neighborhood café in Greenpoint, BK.
The kitchen and menu will be intentionally tight, focused primarily on breakfast and lunch. We’re looking for someone organized, reliable, clean, efficient, and excited about executing simple food really well.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily prep and line cooking
- Executing standardized recipes consistently
- Maintaining quality, portioning, and presentation standards
- Proper storage, labeling, rotation, and food handling
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Opening and closing kitchen responsibilities
- Supporting ordering, receiving, and inventory as needed
- Working closely with the Chef / Kitchen Lead in a collaborative two-person kitchen
Professional kitchen experience required. Café, bakery, breakfast/lunch, or other small-kitchen experience is especially relevant.
