Schedule: Night shift, rotating 2-2-3 twelve-hour schedule

About the Company

Our client is a food manufacturer operating a production facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Role

The Ammonia Refrigeration / Boiler Technician performs refrigeration and boiler maintenance and supports other maintenance personnel on the shift. This is a full-time hourly position on a rotating 12-hour night schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Hold, or be able to obtain, RETA certification.
  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership and follow safe work practices.
  • Work as part of a team to plan and carry out equipment repairs.
  • Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems.
  • Maintain open, professional communication with operations.
  • Respond to unplanned and emergency work requests in a timely and effective way.
  • Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience or training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years of direct industrial or food manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge in three or more of: RETA certification, ammonia refrigeration, engine and boiler systems, electricity and motor controls, controls and instrumentation, PLC software and hardware, pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanical systems, predictive/preventive maintenance, maintenance planning, site utilities, system analysis and troubleshooting, pipefitting and welding, machining, metal fabrication
  • Basic computer skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Willingness to work a rotating 2-2-3 twelve-hour night schedule
