About the Role
Northedge Walls, a commercial drywall and metal stud framing company, is seeking a hands-on Bilingual Warehouse & Facilities Manager who takes ownership, solves problems, and improves how work gets done.
This position oversees daily warehouse operations for Northedge Walls and manages the upkeep of warehouse and office facilities for both Northedge Walls and our sister company, Northedge Steel.
We are looking for someone who recognizes what needs attention, recommends practical solutions, and follows through. You will establish clear routines, improve organization, and help ensure our teams have dependable materials, equipment, and well-maintained spaces to work.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Inventory
- Take ownership of warehouse organization, receiving, storage, and inventory accuracy.
- Establish clear storage locations, labeling, and procedures for handling materials.
- Maintain a dependable process for tracking tools, equipment, and materials issued to and returned by crews.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, investigate discrepancies, and address causes of missing items, damage, and waste.
- Monitor supply levels and coordinate approved purchases before shortages affect operations.
- Work with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to anticipate material and equipment needs.
- Coordinate accurate, timely pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with receiving, loading, unloading, and other hands-on warehouse activities.
Warehouse & Office Facilities — Both Companies
- Oversee the condition, upkeep, and organization of warehouse and office facilities for Northedge Walls and Northedge Steel.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of warehouses, offices, common areas, restrooms, and surrounding grounds to identify needed repairs and improvements.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and facility equipment.
- Establish a process for reporting, prioritizing, tracking, and completing maintenance requests.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, lighting, doors, and other building components.
- Perform minor repairs and routine upkeep within your training and arrange qualified professionals for specialized work.
- Coordinate cleaning services, waste removal, pest control, and grounds maintenance.
- Support office moves, furniture assembly, and workspace setup in coordination with the appropriate teams.
- Obtain quotes, recommend solutions, coordinate approved work, and verify that service providers complete work properly.
- Maintain service records and monitor recurring issues and costs to recommend improvements.
- Communicate urgent issues, repair needs, and potential disruptions to leadership and affected employees.
Safety, Accountability & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the Safety Director to identify hazards and follow through on corrective actions.
- Keep aisles, exits, loading areas, and access to safety equipment clear.
- Create practical routines and checklists that support consistent warehouse and facility standards.
- Communicate expectations clearly and address recurring issues respectfully.
- Recommend improvements that reduce wasted time, avoidable repairs, material loss, and operational disruptions.
- Take responsibility for open items through completion and verify that problems have been resolved.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
- Relevant experience in warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, construction operations, or a combination of these areas.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, solve problems, and improve processes.
- Experience coordinating building maintenance, repairs, or outside service providers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across warehouse and office facilities.
- Sound judgment about when to act independently, request approval, or involve a qualified professional.
- Basic computer skills for email, inventory records, maintenance schedules, and purchasing documentation.
- Clear communication, dependability, and consistent follow-through.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work while managing the coordination and records that support it.
- Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred
- Experience supporting construction crews or working with drywall, metal framing, and building materials.
- Experience maintaining both office and warehouse facilities.
- Experience establishing inventory controls, tool-tracking processes, or preventive maintenance routines.
- Forklift operation experience.
