Job Title: Daycare Closer
Hours: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $13.00-$15.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Position Summary:
Little Legends Learning Academy is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Daycare Closer to help ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff during the afternoon and evening hours. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working with children and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Follow all Tennessee childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
- Assist with afternoon snack, cleanup, and classroom routines.
- Help children with toileting, handwashing, and other hygiene needs as appropriate.
- Keep classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas clean and organized throughout the afternoon.
- Sanitize toys, tables, cots, and frequently touched surfaces before closing.
- Complete daily classroom closing duties and cleaning checklist.
- Communicate professionally with parents during afternoon pick-up.
- Ensure all children are signed out and released only to authorized individuals.
- Assist other classrooms as needed.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Director immediately.
- Lock doors, turn off lights, and complete assigned closing procedures before leaving.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday
- 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- No weekends
