About this position

Before You Apply

This role is built for someone who can walk into a stranger’s kitchen, build trust, diagnose issues, and close a deal that works best for both parties.

If you’d rather not spend your days interacting with people in their homes, this is likely not the right fit.

If you enjoy connecting with people, creative problem solving, and working in a team environment, we’d like to hear from you.

Build a Career with I Hate My Sink

At I Hate My Sink, we specialize in premium kitchen sink installations and countertop solutions for homeowners throughout Phoenix, Arizona, with national expansion in progress. We’re looking for personable, detail-oriented Sales Representatives who can build genuine trust with homeowners, understand their problems, and sell them a solution that fits their needs.

A homeowner invites you into their kitchen because something isn’t working for them. Your job is to understand the problem, know what’s possible, and recommend the right solution — not to push a product for the sake of it.

If you’re looking for a company that values quality craftsmanship, rewards high performance, and provides continuous opportunities for professional and personal growth, this is the place for you.

How Lead Generation & Commission Work

We generate the leads, no cold calling needed.

Most of your consultations are booked appointments with homeowners who already raised their hand, scheduled for you by our office team. There is no requirement to build your own pipeline. However, if you enjoy the thrill of hunting for your own leads, the door is wide open and you’re compensated accordingly.

  • Company-generated lead: 5% commission on the job
  • Lead you source yourself: 10% commission on the job

Compensation and Benefits

Part-Time

  • Commission on every job you close: 5% on company-generated leads, 10% on leads you source yourself
  • Appointments booked for you — no cold calling required
  • Full training on our products, materials, and consultation process
  • Technology and tools provided to run your consultations

Full-Time

  • All part-time benefits listed above
  • Base pay (twice a month), commission, and the ability to participate in team and individual performance-based bonuses
  • Company vehicle
  • Fuel compensated
  • Paid time off (standard holidays + PTO)
  • Paid sick leave
  • Professional development and continued skills training
  • Monday–Friday schedule, Saturday consultations available if applicant desires
  • Advancement opportunities as we expand into new markets

What You’ll Do

  • Run in-home and virtual consultations with homeowners, on appointments booked for you
  • Understand the homeowner’s desire and earn their confidence that we are the company to deliver it from both a holistic design and installation feasibility perspective
  • Take precise field measurements: cabinet and cutout dimensions, countertop material, design preferences
  • Walk the homeowner through their options, tradeoffs, and pricing, partnering with them to come to the right solution
  • Close the deal and hand off complete, accurate specs to the install team
  • Follow up with leads consistently and professionally
  • Keep accurate records of leads, consultations, and sales leveraging company-provided tools
  • Adhere to company standards of professionalism and quality in the home

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Experience earning trust with customers face to face — in-person sales, showroom or design consultation, remodeling consultation, retail design, or similar in-person sales roles
  • Genuine enjoyment working with people and strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail - you’ll be taking the measurements our install relies on. We can train the method, but not the care
  • Comfortable with mobile technology — phone / tablet-based consultation tools and lead management in company software
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout Phoenix, Arizona for consultations
  • Dependable attendance and professional appearance

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate has run in-home consultations or worked in a kitchen and bath showroom, countertop or flooring retail, or remodeling consultation. Experience with natural stone and quartz is an advantage but not a requirement. Candidates who have built repeat and referral business stand out.

Career Progression

Every Sales Representative starts part-time on commission. This is to allow for adequate training in the company’s sales method and service offerings for up to 90 days. Based on performance during this trial period, you have the opportunity to stay part time or move to full-time. Full-time includes base pay plus commission, ability to earn team-based and individual performance-based bonuses, a company-provided vehicle, fuel compensated, and progression opportunities to managerial positions.

Why Join I Hate My Sink?

Our Sales Representatives are rewarded for:

  • Homeowners who feel genuinely well advised
  • Accurate specs that let the install team do the job right the first time

  • Repeat and referral business
  • Teamwork and helping the company grow
