Shift:

  • 7:30 – 4:00 pm,
  • 3:30pm – 12:00am,
  • 11:30pm – 8:00am


Note: Candidate must have 5 years’ experience within discipline in a hospital setting and PE license.

Job Description:

  • Provide professional engineering support for planning, scoping, and executing construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with CLIENT  design guides, NFPA 101, NFPA 99, Joint Commission standards, and other applicable codes.
  • Review design and construction documents from A/E firms and contractors for technical adequacy, code compliance, constructability, and impacts on ongoing healthcare operations; provide written review comments and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including concepts, scopes, cost estimates, schedules, risk registers, and justifications in CLIENT  systems such as VSSC, SCIP, and related capital planning tools.
  • Coordinate with clinical services, Facilities Management, Safety, Infection Control, and others to sequence work, plan outages, and mitigate risks to patients and staff during construction.
  • Provide forensic and root-cause analysis of facility system failures or performance issues and recommend corrective actions or capital improvements.

Deliverables:

  • Written technical reviews and comment matrices for design and construction submittals.
  • Project scope documents, cost estimates, and schedule inputs for projects under their purview for force upload.
  • Risk and mitigation summaries for construction activities affecting patient care areas.
  • Engineering reports or technical memoranda documenting investigations of system failures and recommended solutions.
  • Project oversight from inception to completion in accordance with CLIENT  TIL requirements utilizing experience.

Licensing, Registration, and Certification:

  • Measure: Maintains Licensing, Registration, and Certification
  • Performance Requirement: Updated licenses, registrations, and certifications shall be provided as they are renewed. Licensing and registration information shall be kept current for all Contractor's nonclinical trades personnel.
  • Standard: All (100%) licenses, registrations, and certifications for Contractor's nonclinical trades personnel are current and provided to the CLIENT  as they are renewed.
  • Acceptable Quality Level: 100% of licenses, registrations, and certifications for Contractor's nonclinical trades personnel are current and provided upon renewal. No acceptable deviation.
  • Surveillance Method: Periodic Inspection or Random Sampling of licensing and certification records.
  • Frequency: Annually

Mandatory Training:

  • Measure: Mandatory Training
  • Performance Requirement: Contractor shall ensure all nonclinical trades personnel complete all required CLIENT  and facility-specific training (e.g., safety, infection control, privacy, cybersecurity, asbestos/lead awareness if applicable) on time per facility policy.
  • Standard: All (100%) required training is completed on time by Contractor's nonclinical trades personnel.
  • Acceptable Quality Level: 100% completions
  • Surveillance Method: Periodic Inspection of training records and facility learning management system reports (if applicable).
  • Frequency: Annually

Requirements:

  • Personnel assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to discipline in a, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on CLIENT  property.
  • All licenses held by the key personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses.
  • Contractor's subcontractor(s) who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
  • All subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in trade with commercial or hospital experience.
  • General Engineer must have 5 years’ experience within discipline in a hospital setting and PE license.
  • Training (ACLS, BLS, EHR and CLIENT  MANDATORY): Personnel shall meet all CLIENT  educational requirements and mandatory course requirements; all training must be completed by the contractor's personnel as required by the CLIENT . Other training may become required. CLIENT  will communicate any changes to the training requirement to the contractor.
