About this position
Fjord Fish Market is a sustainability-focused seafood market and sushi shop. We’re looking for a Shift Supervisor to lead the team on the floor, support the General Manager, and keep every shift running smoothly from open to close.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the team on your shift, delegate tasks, and make sure every station is covered
- Jump in at the fish counter, kitchen, sushi, grab-and-go, and register as needed
- Set the tone for warm, knowledgeable customer service
- Handle receiving, prep lists, case setup, and merchandising to Fjord standards
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards and keep shift logs up to date
- Manage closing tasks like stock counts, purchase orders, cash deposits, and waste logs
- Train new team members and keep the GM in the loop on product, staffing, and customer issues
What we’re looking for:
- 1+ year in food retail, grocery, seafood, or restaurants
- Someone who leads by example and keeps a team motivated
- Solid knowledge of food handling and sanitation
- Organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in cold environments
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to get it
