About this position

Pay: $103,000.00 - $113,000.00 per year

Location: Sacramento, California | Hybrid schedule with three in-office days and two remote days each week.

Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar. We welcome attorneys with 2+ years of relevant experience as well as strong new graduates who demonstrate a genuine interest in labor and employment law. Attorneys from private practice, in-house, solo practice, public interest, or plaintiff-side employment backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in labor and employment law matters before administrative agencies, arbitration proceedings, and state and federal courts.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, legal briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
  • Advise labor organizations, employee benefit plans, and other clients on employment and labor law issues.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and litigation.
  • Manage client relationships while delivering responsive, high-quality legal counsel.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced attorneys on complex and impactful matters.
  • Stay current on developments in California labor and employment law.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • 2+ years of labor, employment, litigation, or related legal experience preferred; exceptional new graduates will also be considered.
  • Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in labor, employment, workers' rights, or public interest law is highly valued.
