As part of the continued growth of current and future projects, Meldrum Mechanical Services is a 24/7 service company that requires an experienced Welder/Millwright to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG & MIG
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flus-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
- Perform grinding, chipping and other metal preparation tasks prior to welding
- Inspect welds and ensure they meet quality standards
- Field work is required
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Millwright or in a similar role
- Proficiency in safety protocols, including wearing heat resistant gloves, flame resistant clothing, protective masks and safety footwear
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work with precision measuring instruments
- Experience with stick welding is a plus
- Certifications a must, we also provide annual training. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with: professional certifications, successful completion of apprenticeship

- 8 hour shift
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
