Morton Civil Group is looking for an experienced, dependable Heavy Equipment & Auto Mechanic to join our growing team.
We’re looking for someone who knows equipment, understands the demands of the construction industry, and takes pride in keeping a fleet safe, maintained, and ready to work.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Our mechanic will help maintain and repair a variety of company equipment and vehicles used in our civil construction and land development operations, including:
• Heavy construction equipment
• Diesel equipment
• Trucks and company vehicles
• Gasoline and diesel engines
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Brakes, suspension and steering
• Preventative maintenance and inspections
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We want an experienced mechanic who can diagnose the problem—not just replace parts.
The right candidate will be:
• Experienced with heavy equipment and vehicle repair
• Strong in diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Knowledgeable in diesel and gasoline engines
• Comfortable troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Organized and safety-conscious
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL and mechanical certifications are a plus
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION.
We are looking for an experienced professional who understands the importance of keeping equipment running and minimizing downtime in a fast-moving construction environment.
