Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems in commercial buildings.
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers, diagnose problems, and perform repairs or replacements using various tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to plan installations and ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes.
- Use testing devices and critical thinking to identify and solve electrical problems effectively.
- Journeyman electricians will help to train and guide apprentices in the proper installation and repair of electrical systems.
- Journeyman electricians keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.
Requirements:
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician License and OSHA 30 certified
- 5 years of experience on commercial electrical projects
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- May be required to work overtime, nights, and weekends
- Bilingual is strongly preferred.
