Key Duties and Responsibilities
EIT instructors focus on delivering instruction that leads to students’ gaining proficiency in skill, knowledge, safety, attendance and professionalism within their field. The following are key responsibilities to achieve our academic mission and goals:
- Deliver a course of study suitable to curriculum guidelines of ACCSC and PA Department of Education’s requirements.
- Assist in developing and presenting specific lesson plans, using a variety of means, including lectures, lab projects, group discussions, exhibits and field trips related to the content being taught.
- Supervise completion of assignments, activities, labs, tests, and homework.
- Conduct tests and assessment in accordance with EIT policies.
- Maintain order in classroom and administers discipline when necessary to achieve proper behavior.
- Counsel and assist students when academic difficulties arise.
- Keep records of academic performance, and attendance.
- Participate in faculty meetings, educational conferences, professional training seminars, and workshops.
