Barback

About this position

The Barback keeps Centrale’s bar ready for service. You stay ahead of the team’s needs, keep supplies moving and help create a clean, organized workspace so bartenders can give guests their full attention.

• Set up and replenish ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers and other approved bar supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow the bar team’s preparation, labeling and storage procedures; communicate shortages before they interrupt service.
• Collect used glassware and maintain clear, organized work areas without disrupting guests or service.
• Support stock rotation, delivery handling and simple cooler or keg tasks only as trained and authorized.
• Keep bar equipment and service areas clean, following approved sanitation and safe handling procedures.
• Handle waste, recycling and broken glass safely; report spills, breakages and equipment concerns promptly.
• Complete opening, closing and side work, and coordinate with bartenders and other support staff when priorities change.
• Follow role boundaries: bartenders prepare cocktails and handle POS transactions.

• A dependable, attentive approach and a willingness to support the whole team.
• Ability to stay organized and communicate clearly during busy service.
• Careful handling of glassware, tools and supplies, with a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Restaurant or bar support experience is helpful; willingness to learn Centrale’s standards is essential.
