About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Payroll Services to lead and oversee the organization's payroll operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing in accordance with government regulations. This includes managing North American payroll functions within an outsourced model, driving efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing and tax payments, and maintaining robust internal controls. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvements and leading change initiatives through collaborative, cross-functional partnerships. Key priorities for the role include overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, project managing the implementation of new payroll solutions, and working closely with HR and finance teams on strategic opportunities. The Vice President will also be involved in negotiating service level agreements, collaborating with accounting and treasury to ensure proper recording of payroll payments, and monitoring process performance against KPIs. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 12 years of payroll, accounting, and union processing experience, and a professional designation from a recognized payroll certification organization. The role requires the ability to work effectively across different functions, experience with collective bargaining agreements, and a strong background in influencing and managing expectations.
