Key Responsibilities
- Operate single-head and multi-head spot welding equipment.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding.
- Set up welding machines according to project specifications.
- Inspect and test welds for quality, strength, and accuracy.
- Clean and maintain welding equipment and tips.
- Handle materials and use hand tools as needed.
- Complete paperwork and data entry accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of steel fabrication and welding experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of welding processes and steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Familiarity with hand tools and machinery.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
- Requires good manual dexterity and vision.
- Shop environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.
A welder with MIG and TIG experience, blueprint-reading skills, steel fabrication knowledge, and a strong commitment to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.
