- Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.
- Smoothes surface of an item to specified finish, typically 304 stainless steel
- Polishes metal surface, primarily stainless steel
- Coordinate and plan daily/weekly work schedule with a supervisor, immediately addressing any issues or concerns.
- Accurately record production data such as quality, labor reporting, manufacturing time, scrap, and downtime information
- Utilizing company supplied tools to perform the job (polishing wheels, abrasives, etc.)
- Competent in measuring parts, reading blueprints, and verifying dimensions
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (No food, trash, scrap parts, etc.), wiping down, sweeping the floor, and organizing work center at end of shift.
- Follows company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times. (Gloves, glasses, sleeves, etc.)
- Must have dependable, reliable, on-time attendance.
