Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Ottumwa, IA, to deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a collaborative healthcare environment. This full-time, permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, creating individualized care plans, administering medications, and supporting overall patient outcomes while working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Perform physical and psychosocial assessments
- Develop and individualize nursing care plans
- Implement and contribute to medical plans of care
- Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders
- Administer medications following established safety standards
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Participate in mandatory training, education, and competency programs
- Assist with team development and unit goals
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling to support department coverage
- Identify and report safety and quality concerns
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program
- Current Iowa RN license or compact RN license allowing practice in Iowa
- Current BCLS/BLS certification
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Salary: $70,803–$95,596/year
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
