Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in Ottumwa, IA, to deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients of all ages. This role demands strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills to assess, triage, treat, and coordinate patient care efficiently within a fast-paced emergency setting. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and triage based on clinical priority
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and perform routine and complex treatments
- Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and emergency situations
- Follow ACLS/PALS protocols when applicable
- Coordinate care with physicians and the healthcare team
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge needs
- Maintain patient safety, equipment, and supplies
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing minimum
- Current Iowa RN license or compact RN license valid in Iowa
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates
Pay and benefits
- Salary: $70,803–$95,596/year
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
