Job Description

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technicians to join a growing manufacturing operation in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is a hands-on production position responsible for assembling LED lighting fixtures within a structured manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, follows established procedures carefully, and works effectively as part of a production team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble LED lighting fixtures according to documented work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and Work Order requirements.
  • Perform hands-on assembly activities including wiring, fastening, component placement, and sub-assembly.
  • Use hand tools and light assembly equipment safely and correctly.
  • Perform in-process quality checks to verify products meet visual, mechanical, and electrical specifications.
  • Identify and report defects, component issues, material shortages, or process deviations.
  • Support material movement and handoffs between manual and automated production processes.
  • Rotate between assembly stations as needed to support production requirements and cross-training.
  • Maintain accurate Work Order and production information in the ERP system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation following 5S principles.
  • Follow established safety, quality, electrical assembly, and testing procedures.
  • Communicate production delays, equipment concerns, or quality issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor.


Required Qualifications


  • 1+ years of experience in electronics, electromechanical, or light-industrial assembly, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, precision-focused work.
  • Basic proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, wire strippers, and torque tools.
  • Comfortable working around automated production equipment and following established safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively within a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in electronics or lighting manufacturing.
  • Basic wiring or soldering experience.
  • Experience working in a cell-based or lean manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP-driven Work Order systems such as Odoo or similar.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin is a plus.
