Lead Bartender

About this position

Bark Barbecue is seeking an experienced Lead Bartender to join the team at our wine bar, located within our new 8,700 sq. ft. flagship destination in the heart of North Brooklyn (East Williamsburg/Bushwick).

Our wine bar features a curated wine program and a beverage menu focused on pushing the boundaries of mixology through wine-based cocktails, thoughtful ingredients, refined presentation, and exceptional hospitality.

Position: Lead Bartender

Lead Bartenders play a critical role in setting the standard for service, beverage execution, organization, and hospitality. This position works closely with the beverage team to ensure consistency, cleanliness, preparation, and an exceptional guest experience throughout every shift.

Ideal Candidates

• Previous bartending experience required
• Strong wine knowledge and cocktail experience
• Experience preparing garnishes, syrups, infusions, and cocktail mise en place
• Exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Previous barback experience preferred; coffee or barista experience is a plus but not required
