Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aluminum Welder / Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will read blueprints, cut raw materials, and utilize TIG and MIG welding techniques to build high-quality aluminum products. The ideal candidate has strong mathematical skills, a deep understanding of aluminum metallurgy, and a passion for precision craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Weld aluminum assemblies using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes.

Fabricate components by cutting, burning, and shaping aluminum pieces.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols accurately.

Fit and clamp components together to prepare for welding.

Inspect finished welds for cracks, defects, or spatial deviations.

Operate shop equipment safely, including brake presses, shears, and band saws.

Maintain equipment and report any mechanical malfunctions immediately.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 23 years of dedicated aluminum welding experience.

Technical Skills: Mastery of TIG and MIG welding on varying aluminum gauges.

Blueprints: Proven ability to read and work from complex technical drawings.

Tools: Proficiency with grinders, calipers, squares, and fabrication machinery.

Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification: AWS (American Welding Society) certification is highly desirable.

Education: High school diploma, trade school degree, or vocational training.
