Join the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and become part of one of the world's most respected healthcare organizations. We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to advance care for patients with complex neurological conditions.

\n

\n

As an RN caring for children with epilepsy, you'll practice within a 15-bed unit that brings together specialized patient populations, advanced technology, and a culture where nurses help shape care delivery through shared governance. You'll work alongside a dedicated nurse practitioner team that provides around-the-clock support, creating a strong interdisciplinary practice environment.

This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in pediatric epilepsy and seizure care while working with a team committed to clinical excellence and innovation. Whether your background is in pediatrics, critical care, or another acute care setting, you'll gain exposure to a unique patient population and help improve outcomes for children and families. Relocation assistance is available for nurses considering a move to Cleveland to join this growing team.

Schedule:

\n

• Full-time position

\n

• Hours: 7:00pm – 7:30am

\n

• No on-call requirements

\n

• Shared participation in weekend rotation and holiday coverage

\n

• Orientation will be days before transitioning to nights

\n

\n

\n

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

\n
    \n
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with epilepsy and complex medical needs.
  • \n
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
  • \n
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions and responses to treatment.
  • \n
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • \n
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • \n
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families regarding care, treatment, medications, and ongoing needs.
  • \n
  • Develop knowledge and skills in epilepsy and neurological nursing care.
  • \n
\n

\n

Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

\n
    \n
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)
  • \n
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • \n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • \n
  • One year of current acute care RN experience. Military RN experience will be considered
  • \n
\n


Preferred qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • \n
  • Pediatric nursing experience
  • \n
  • Experience caring for patients with epilepsy, neurological conditions, or complex medical needs
  • \n
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary care environment
  • \n

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • \n
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • \n
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • \n
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • \n
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • \n
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • \n
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
  • \n

Pay Range

\n

Minimum hourly: $35.50

\n

\n

Maximum hourly: $55.60
