\nThe Registered Respiratory Therapist role within the University Hospitals Parma Medical Center offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with breathing issues.
\nWe currently offer an opportunity for a full time nights, Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patients in our acute care hospital in Parma.

A Brief Overview
\nThe therapist is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision.

What You Will Do

- Mechanical ventilation \n
- Medicated aerosol delivery \n
- Airway clearance therapy \n
- Patient monitoring \n
- Oxygen and humidity therapy \n
- Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.) \n

Additional Responsibilities

- Performs other duties as assigned. \n
- Complies with all policies and standards. \n
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. \n
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. \n

Education

- Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or \n
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required) \n
\n
Work Experience
\n- \n
- 1+ years Respiratory Therapy (Preferred) \n
\n
Licenses and Certifications
\n- \n
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) \n
- Ohio Respiratory License \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) \n
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) \n
- AARC membership within 6 months of hire date (Required) \n

Preferred Qualifications
\nAt least one year of recent experience is preferred. Previous work in a hospital is also preferred. Position is for 3rd shift, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
