Electrical Assembler

About this position

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Read, learn, understand, and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.

· Read, understand, and interpret basic ruler measurements.

· Advances soldering and crimping

· Kitting-bagging to prepare product for shipment.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete assembly of components or products and prepare products and other items for shipment.

· Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to

established guidelines and quality standards.

· Advanced knowledge of IPC Training Modules

· Cross train to other areas of department as needed.

· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

· Additional responsibilities include packaging and or spot-checking others work

· Able to trouble shoot as needed

· Advances knowledge of all positions- go to person for assembly questions

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with the ability to speak and understand English

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers

· Advances soldering and crimping skills

· Knowledge of kitting-bagging to prepare product for shipment.

· Time management

· Read and interpret schematic drawings diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions

· May be required to read measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, calipers, scales, and use magnifying aids
