We have a position for passionate, dedicated, energetic Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants with a strong background in pediatric occupational therapy to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year and continuing for future years. Occupational Therapist - Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school staff and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities (not applicable to Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant)
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, addressing areas such as sensory integration, fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, and self-care
- Adapt classroom environments, materials, and equipment to promote accessibility and facilitate student participation
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students’ care
- Document student progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information according to agency and school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate goals and accommodations for students
- Stay up to date on current research, evidence based practices, and relevant policies in school-based occupational therapy
License/Certification:
- State of Nevada OT License (Required)
- Nevada Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
- Pediatric experience preferred (fieldwork experience is acceptable)
