Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing staff in production of school meals
- Menu planning with adherence to accepted nutrition guidelines
- Striving for excellent food quality
- Following all municipal and health ordinances and codes
- Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and students
- Coordinating and tracking of inventory
- Managing vendor relationships
- Ordering product in relation to menus and inventories
- Managing food and labor costs in relation to budget
- Administering government school lunch program
Experience
Education and experience per Indiana Department of Education guidelines for hiring a school nutrition director.
