Position Summary

The Lead Low Voltage Installer / Technician is responsible for overseeing on-site installation of low voltage systems while ensuring quality control, project efficiency, and adherence to company standards. This role serves as the field lead and primary point of accountability for crew coordination and job site execution.

Core Responsibilities

  •  Lead installation of structured cabling, data, voice, security, and related low voltage systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, scope of work documents, and project specifications.
  • Supervise and coordinate installers and subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Maintain quality control standards across all installations.
  • Communicate job progress, delays, and material needs to leadership.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in the field.
  • Ensure job site safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company property responsibly.

Leadership Expectations

  • Model reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct.
  • Enforce attendance and performance standards on site.
  • Provide real-time problem solving and decision-making.
  • Protect company reputation with clients and general contractors.
  • Mentor junior installers when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum years of low voltage installation experience.
  •  Demonstrated leadership experience in field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift lbs and work in active construction environments.
