Position:
Vehicular Upfitting - Electrical Technician and Installer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in upfitting vehicles with 12-volt electrical components and systems. The technician will, with the use of their own tools, install the components and wiring necessary for the vehicle upfit.
Job Duties:
Install electrical lighting systems and their components, communication systems and their components, as well as other miscellaneous installations in customer vehicles; including but not limited to:
· Emergency Vehicles
· Customer Fleet Vehicles
· Municipal Vehicles
· Individualized and Special Use Case Vehicles
Requirements:
· Prior experience working with 12-volt vehicle upfitting
· Knowledge of vehicular electrical components and their systems
· General knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
· Necessary personal tools needed to complete electrical upfits on vehicles
· Ability to read, understand, and translate schematic information to the team or coworkers when necessary
· Ability to innovate and problem-solve for real world applications of electronic components
· Prior knowledge or experience of programming emergency lighting on vehicles
· Knowledge of and adherence to industry standards for vehicle upfits
Compensation: $28+ per hour depending upon qualifications
